A Hedgehog ESS is very easy to install, because the main connection does not have to be interrupted. An additional 3-phase group is sufficient to connect Hedgehog ESS.
Choose your own back office with OCPP 2.0
Hedgehog is the only one in the market that is ESS “simlock free”. You have the choice of which back office to use with your Hedgehog ESS. You can use Hedgehog Portal, but you can also choose to use your existing back office.
Online monitoring
Hedgehog ESS is always online connected to Hedgehog Portal for monitoring and control.
This way you and your installation partner always have insight into the functioning of your Hedgehog ESS.

Hedgehog ESS is suitable for almost any application and grid connection. Each Hedgehog ESS is 3-phase, below you will find an overview of typical system sizes.
Hedgehog ESS has an intelligent control which prepares it for peak and generating loads. This means that almost the entire system capacity (in Ampere per phase) is available for at least 2 hours at full load. It is also possible to expand the storage capacity, directly or at a later time. A Hedgehog ESS with the same power and more storage capacity will deliver or take up the full load for longer. For example, if you choose HH-ESS-12.28 with a double amount of storage capacity, the full load will take at least 4 hours.

USE CASE: 3x80A – SOLAR & CHARGEPOINTS
Hedgehog ESS is ideal for situations with a lot of solar energy and e-mobility. Overloading the grid connection is a real risk here. On winter days, building consumption and charging multiple electric cars results in heavy load on the gird connection. During summer days with little consumption of the building, there is a lot of solar energy feed-in to the grid connection. Hedgehog ESS offers the solution here. For example, the HH-ESS-12.28 can be supplied for this application. The Energy Investment Deduction (11% advantage on average) applies to this investment, making Hedgehog ESS even more attractive.
